Sitting in front of the fire

It's a wonderful rainy day and the best thing about it is that I get to curl up on my favorite chair in front of the fire. Yay! I love the rain.

This weekend I devoted most of my time to working on my blurb and I actually came up with a version which I liked very much. I even asked my sister, who loves romance novels (my target audience) and she liked it as well. One less thing for me to worry about.

My savings for editing is coming along nicely. I haven't saved as much as I wanted yet, but I know I will. It might take a while, but I'm in no hurry.

  1. Good job, Mureees, I'm glad to hear that your sister enjoyed your story. I'll bet you're even surprising yourself with what you're doing. Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend, too.

    1. Thank you. Mostly I'm just relieved that I could do it. I had been stuck for a while and finally wrote one that worked for me.

  3. Good to hear that you've made progress, Murees!

I can imagine how cold it must be your side of the country. As you know, we've been having mild weather here on the east coast... really warm temperatures... I think our high today was about 25 degrees.

    1. Thank you. Oh, your weather sounds wonderful. It is cold, but I prefer it to the extreme heat in the summer. Thank you for always being so supportive.

  4. I love rainy days, too, so long as I'm not working.

And good going on the blurb. Those are hard to do, so it must feel great to have one you like.

  5. I wish I had a fireplace; then I could toast marshmallows and make s'mores! :) And good job on writing the blurb!

    1. Thank you. Those s'mores sound delicious! Unfortunately we are out of marshmallows. I guess I will have to settle for hot chocolate.
