It is a sweet story about Charlene, a horse who
knows from the start that being a racehorse is not for her. Instead, she has
another talent that is uniquely her. I really liked this story because it was about finding
that one true thing you are good at and doing it to the best of your ability.
This book is also about friendship and her companion Elliot, is just the
sweetest dog imaginable. I think this is a very good book for children and
grown ups alike. There are lessons to learn that could be applied in life for
people young or old. Like giving your best is always good enough. The
illustrations are beautiful and I personally just loved learning more about
horses.

Thank you so much for the lovely review of Charlene the Star Murees! I appreciate it so much and so does Elliott. We think he gets so many compliments, his head might even be getting bigger! D
ReplyDeleteBest wishes.
Don't you just love kids books? They are so applicable to any age, and sometimes, the best reminder for us adults!
ReplyDeleteDeanie - You are welcome. I loved reading the book.
ReplyDeleteKatie - I agree. I miss reading kids books actually. They are so innocent and you always learn something from them.
Special thank you to all of you for the kind comments on my book. Incidentally, that's our family dog, Elliott on the cover. He catches biscuits in the air, just like he does in the story! D
ReplyDeleteI love books about animals, especially if we can learn something too.
ReplyDeleteVanessa - I agree. They are just the best. Thank you for visiting.
